Rush Limbaugh celebrates anniversary

"Morton Downey, Jr"?! I think my life just flashed before my eyes...

Before the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine, before national syndication and superstardom, Rush Limbaugh got an early break at a Sacramento radio station.

According to Talkers magazine today (November 10):

"Premiere Radio Networks superstar Rush Limbaugh joins KFBK, Sacramento’s Kitty O’Neal and Tom Sullivan today (11/10) for a one-hour program from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm PT [6PM to 7PM ET] honoring Limbaugh’s 25th anniversary on the station.

"It was October 15, 1984 that Limbaugh replaced Morton Downey, Jr. on the station and it would be four more years before his program would be taken national and eventually make radio history.
